That mintmark looks awfully suspicious to me. I sure wouldn't buy a raw 32-D on eBay.
  • It's in a coin world slab- what makes you feel it's not an authentic 100% original coin from 1932? image

It doesnt look counterfeit to me, definitely overgraded though(looks xf-45) This guy Randall runs a coin shop in lancaster, PA. I used to stop in thier a few years ago. He is little co*ky and loud, extremely hyper, but is fairly knowledgeable about coins. He does however tend to overgrade coins and offer cleaned coins for sale to unknowledgeable buyers.
  • The mint mark looks like the one I had in hand yesterday at auction. It went for more than I was willing to pay. I did manage to get these two key dates though!

I've noticed his auctions in the past. He has quite a few of "questionable" coins listed at times.

There was one a few weeks ago he listed as an ANACS AU-55, without showing the full slab. I recall seeing the coin somewhere before. He neglected to mention whizzed, tooled, and the net grade.

No Reserve, No returns, No Exchanges.

    Could be genuine.

    No sale.

What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?

crying out loud if you are asking 3k for a coin, the least you could do is pay the shipping and insurance....it's only $5 with insurance.

Want some action? I'll lay 3 to 1 that coin's counterfeit. The Ds are not that big on the real deal. Even the eagle itself looks kinda strange. I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is....only thing is how do we prove it? Afterall, the seller is of such outstanding moral turpitude. Check out his feedback!image
