even if mcgwire took them ill back him 100% he is a standup guy he was great to charities and kids! cant say that for bonds.

mcgwire gave a lot back to kids.and the fans.

no matter what testing mlb nfl nba olympics does. athletes will always do something to get an edge. and someone will always create a way for them to do it.

kuhlman, I alwayd admired Mark McGwire. I still do. In general though, guys who juice might as well have a corked bat instead every game. Thats what always comes to my mind. Unless you are Sammy Sosa who may juice AND use corked bats image

  • While I have no proof, I'd have to say that Brad Fulmer was one of the most juiced players out there. Anyone agree? Disagree?
  • And Slammin' Sammy?

Julen23-that is an awesome pic of Jose Canseco!

I agree that Bonds is skating by on this issue...if anyone, he should be the one they come down on the hardest with that HR record in jeopardy. Are they scared of Bonds? He is so crappy to the public and the media, you would think it would be quite the feeding ground for the press. Maybe Bonds is just good at avoiding everyone.

As for Aaron...he wont voice his opinion about the steroid issue because of his relationship with Bonds and the whole race issue. Even if he knew Bonds was for sure taking steroids, he would still back Bonds 100% even though the all time HR record is at risk for falling.... IMO

soft, it's funny that you mention Brady Anderson. That 50 HR year was the biggest fluke in the history of baseball. For a leadoff hitter who averaged 15 HRs for 4 years, then hits 50, then goes back down to averaging about 18. I'm not sure whether you can attribute it to roids, but something was definitely up. Was fun being an O's fan back then when the team had character.

I don't give anyone credit AT ALL from their grand jury testimony.

If he were such a 'stand up' guy, he wouldn't have needed to be on the stand to get him testifying to it. He testified only because (a) he thought it would never leak and (b) he felt he had to under oath.
