This lowlife Ebay seller has fleeced the unsuspecting yet again..

Here are the two most recent examples of what this seller (discussed here before) has been able to do to the unsuspecting/uninformed:
1893-CC "Proof Morgan Dollar" at $610
1895 "Proof Morgan Dollar" at $380
I have contacted Ebay on numerous occasions about this seller, telling them that she lists tokens, copies, counterfeits and reproductions as "coins", which is against Ebay's own stated policy.
She also either doesn't show images of the reverses, (which would let some bidders know the items are copies), or if an image is provided, purposely obscures the portion of the coin that says "copy".
Lastly, she keep bidders' ID's private so that no one can warn them.
I hate to think about how many people she has taken advantage of. Yes, I understand bidders should know what they're doing, but, that in no way excuses what she is doing, or what Ebay is (not ) doing in allowing her to continue.

So, I wholeheartedly advise each and everyone of you to lodge a complaint and then piss and moan because they aren't doing anything. It's easier to investigate one complaint than a couple of dozen. And, a complaint doesn't automatically equal wrongdoing!

I had to laugh on this one. Thanks for the Sunday A.M. humor. I think I'll head over to e-Smay and lodge a complaint just to give them something to do this morning. I kinda like their auto-crap responses anyway.
<< <i>I have said it before and will say it again. Ebay is a cesspool. >>
Less competition.

Keep them complaints rolling. Kinda makes you wonder why they have auto responces, what with so few complaints rolling in. They probably have already recieved a dozen from this thread alone.

In the item description it states: >>
LIQUADATING A SAVANNAH ESTATE,SELLING AS FOUND IN THE BANK BOX TODAY >>
this coin is never stated as a reproduction and the seller makes the coin sound legit and like it's not a copy.
You're way out in left field defending this one. This seller is a bonified slimeball that has been ripping people off continually for a long time. This one engages in REAL FRAUD and has had complaints lodged by dozens of REAL victims, and is even being investigated by law enforcement in her home town. The two auctions posted here are minor in comparison to all the counterfeit items - not just coins - that this scumbag has sold as genuine.
There are plenty of times sellers have been attacked wrongly, but this is NOT one of those times.
Edited to add: She's also been NARU'd twice and then let back in.

Somebody want to PLEASE show me and everyone else where I have defended this person.
Here is what I said on this subject:
What you fellows don't know, or don't tell, is how many complaints ebay gets each day in total. It takes a certain amount of time to investigate each and everyone of them.
So, I wholeheartedly advise each and everyone of you to lodge a complaint and then piss and moan because they aren't doing anything. It's easier to investigate one complaint than a couple of dozen. And, a complaint doesn't automatically equal wrongdoing!

If thats defending this person, then I apologise. But, I did not defend the person. I merely addressed the possibility of overloading ebay with complaints.

Any time you attack those who go after these slimeballs - which you have clearly done in this thread - you are, by logical extension, defending said slimeball.
Russ, NCNE
<< <i>Ken, that's the only time eBay seems to take note of a problem, when they get many complaints. >>
You may be right and you may be wrong. I personally believe it would clog up the system!

You can stick your logic. If you don't like what I say, thats fine. But don't be making conclusions for me.
<< <i>Have you noticed that those copies are all 1 and 3 day listings now? Really tough for ebay to shut down a 1 or 3 day listing. I reported this one the other day 1889cc for not having copy in the title. But so far, all the ones I have reported haven't been stopped. >>
It is pretty pathetic that they take forever to respond. That is when they actually respond. They have absolutely no excuse to not hire more competent people to investigate auctions. They certainly have the money.

Yes, it certainly wouldn't have anything to do with clogging the system with dozens of complaints on individual items. And, no, I'm not defending the seller.

I don't think it would. They should be able to tell if there are duplicate complaints for a particular item. Aside from that, the complaints board members make are probably just a tiny portion of all of the complaints Ebay receives.

Exactly! Now if we could just get people to read all my other posts on here today and understand that same logic, instead of saying I'm defending the seller!
<< <i>Yes, it certainly wouldn't have anything to do with clogging the system with dozens of complaints on individual items >>
Ken, why the apparent sarcasm here?
In the case of this particular seller, who has repeatedly violated Ebay's own policies, Ebay has had more than enough time to do something, "clogged system" or not. Ebay has acted much more swiftly against other sellers who were not nearly as blatant/obvious in their deceitful intentions/listings.
If only one or two people complained to Ebay, it probably wouldn't get their attention and yet, you seem to believe that if many complain, it might "clog the system" and defeat the purpose. I prefer NOT to just sit and watch while this seller rips people off.
You sound as if you are making an excuse for Ebay's lack of action. In the case of this seller, at least, they have NO excuse.
Still, there was a woman who was selling Royal Oak Mint replicas with the word "COPY" crudely tooled off. This was first noticed in RCC and then here. Someone complained to the local police and she was arrested. Not trying to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if she was convicted?
People really get juiced up when confronted with thinking that does not conform to their own!
<< <i>People really get juiced up when confronted with thinking that does not conform to their own! >>
No, just when it's so far out in left field, as your's has been lately.
<< <i>We could complain to her local police although they seem to be aware of it.

She copped a plea, the case has been settled.

Yeah, anyone not in lock step with the thinking of the day is in left field! It galls you all to have to use your brains to defend your tactics
that others don't care for or feel could be done better another way!
I like to think that even bidders who don't know what they're doing wouldn't be paying such outrageous sums of money for her stuff.

Now there is a good question. Getting a person to converse with someone in the ANA who has been working with ebay on the already implemented, but hard to enforce rules would be a good start! Rules are good, but if you can't enforce them, they aren't very good rules are they.
A good idea to look into would be to have different types of suspected violations go to specifically trained persons at ebay. For instance, take a few people and train them to specifically deal with coin related complaints. And, all complaints at ebay should automatically go to different folders. One folder should be specific to auction item # and another specifically to each individual seller.
Coming on here and sending complaints by the dozen doesn't seem to work very well. A few have, but quite a few more haven't.
Has it ever occured that ebay may be working on problems and having a hard time getting things accomplished?
