1971-S Ike "Peg Leg"? PCGS MS63 just up and disappeared on eBay...

I had this coin in my "Items I'm Watching" file and it was suppposed to end tonight at 10pm central time but now it's gone. It's not in my "watching" category anymore, even as an "ended" item, and I can't find it when I do a search for "completed items". What gives? I've been looking for a 71-S peg leg for a while now, (like a lot of other Ike collectors) and to have this just up and disappear is frustrating.

Any one else been watching/bidding on this coin? It was a 10 day auction and had been hovering at $10.50 for 5+ days waiting for the mad snipping rush at the last minute, (of which I was hoping to be a part image ).

Any info on what happened to it?

My guess is the seller got an offer he couldn't refuse and ended the auction early but wouldn't that show up somewhere? image

The auction is below. Looks like the seller ended the auction early. Maybe was selling too low?

Could be he had an offer he could not fefuse, too. Nice looking coin it was.

The highest retracted bid was $50.00. I would have gladly paid more than that for it.

Hey, thanks a lot for the link. I looked high and low for that thing and couldn't find it any where.

I would have paid a lot more than $50 for it too. What ever his offer was, if that is what got him to end his auction, I wonder if it was as high as what the auction price would have been driven to in the final minutes?

I know what I was willing to bid. I've been looking a long time and it being a PCGS would have made an easy attribution.

I emailed the seller aand asked about the auction. Here's his reply:
"I had a customer purchase the coin for $100."

Betcha the auction would have gone higher than that!
