  • Larry Bird has a pretty clear legible autograph. This sample isn't even close to authentic.

I think that's some guy named Larry who was trying to DRAW a bird on that card.

That being said, I'd bid a dollar. He seems pretty talented.

So you guys are saying it is likely not authentic.??

Here is another Bird for sale. If you compare the two, it's hard to say - a lot of times, cards are signed while the guy is walking and the requestor gets a scribble.

The one you posted is PSA/DNA authenticated but even if that were obtained by Spence himself, e.g., I still think it's not as nice as the other one I found and if I were looking for one, I would pass on the one you posted..

I have gotten Bird to sign quite a few times and his policy was always one per person. I have never seen his signature like that even when it is after a game.
  • I've seen a lot of birds but that one doesn't fly!

    Stay clear IMO

But this Larry BIrd Auto passed PSA/DNA so it has to be authentic....So should I bid up to $100 on this card? It has to be real... LMK your thoughts now...

I knew it was an authenticated card and stated in more simple terms - I think the auto is unattractive and would pass on it for that reason.

I dont't see how they could say theat compares to other Larry Bird autos that they have looked at...

I can sell you the same card that looks like that for $5. This really has to question James Spence's credibility.
  • maybe Larry was sh*tface?

I'm no autograph expert, but if PSA/DNA says the autograph is legit, I believe them. They're the experts and I see no reason to doubt them.

Esp. when they can expertly place a piece of yarn between the card and the plastic slab?

Oh wait a minute....someone has to say *poof*.

I can't believe people are bidding on this lol.
  • I got a couple of autos of some players at the Jimmy V Golf Classic several years ago. Few of them were legible and merely looked like I scribbled a few curved lines on the card. Although I am positive they were written by the player, whether they would pass PSA/DNA is questionable and whether anyone else would want them even if they did is unlikely. I much prefer to pay a little premium for an autograph that looks good.
