what price for 100 common-date Morgans?

What would be a good price to pay for say 100 common-date Morgans in circulated grades?

Say the grades range from VG - EF, with a few G and a few AU. All are pre-1921. I have a friend that bought a rather large collection, and he wants to unload a couple hundred of the common-date Morgans. He sold 100 of them to the local dealer, for $8.12 a piece. I was thinking, heck, I'll pay him $8.25 each and get 100. What are rolls of 20 going for now? I have checked eBay, but wanted another quote.

Thanks!

    $8 to $9 Each
  • I bought a few dozen at $8 last year. I've seen rolls of VF-AU pre-21's going for $450. Have they been checked for VAMs?

Nope, not checked for VAMs. That was one thing I was going to buy them for.

I have seen ads with people buying them at $6.50 each (dealers of course). I have seen other ads of folks selling them at $8.00 to $10.00 each. My local shop sells them for $10.00 to $12.00 each depending on date and grade. I have no problem paying that since I will only buy the good VAMs. The circ Peace dollars I buy at $10.00 each assuming a good VAM find. I know those are a bit higher than the norm, but I enjoy collecting them and they are not for immediate sale. These are for me to enjoy for many years to come, hopefully.
