HELP NEEDED!! Update regarding Earlier Situation........

well ..i got this email one day after he gave me neg feedback and one day before his 3 day deadline....

JUST RECEIVED THE MONEY TODAY!! CARD WILL BE MAILED OUT IMMEDIATELY. WHY DIDN'T YOU ANSWER THE E-MAILS I SENT TO YOU? IF YOU LEAVE ME A POSITIVE FEEDBACK, I WILL DO THE SAME AND IGNORE THE NEGATIVE. WHEN I DIDN'T HEAR FROM YOU, I ASSUMED YOU VOIDED THE SALE.

notice...EMAILS......he sent one email...and less then 24 hours later i had a negative...now then....he also said he would REVERSE IT:

This wasn't a threat to you. I very rarely leave negative feedback. If you read my payment policy, I expected it within 5 days. You didn't answer numerous e-mails (NOW REMEMBER HE ONLY SENT ONE!!). What would you do in my case? We are certainly not talking about major dollars here (OK..SO WHY LEAVE NEG FEEDBACK THEN???). I will reverse feedback as soon as you leave a positive. That is the only way I can reverse the first. I will certainly change it to a POSITIVE with an explanation.

CAN HE REALLY REVERSE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK IF I GIVE HIM A POSITIVE???? THIS IS THE POINT I DONT UNDERSTAND....I DONT THINK U CAN DO THIS PERSONALLy.....CAN YOU??? ANYONE ??? ANYONE???

  • there is mutual feedback withdrawl, but the comments stay on there.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

Do you have spam filters? I'm wondering if you didn't receive the emails because of this?
  • I hate to bring this up but why are you complaning at all? Its your fault. You shouldnt have waited so long, you should have emailed him, etc etc.

At least all worked out for ya.
    Good Luck

no spam filters.initial email was the only one he sent me....it stated...3 days till neg...negged me within 24 hours...i KNEW it would get there before 3 days...and didnt feel like wimpering to the guy.....i thought he would honor his word of 3 days....guess not....

OK...SO IF I PUT POSITIVE FEEDBACK....HE CAN RETRACT NEGATIVE???? CAN HE RETRACT IT NOW BEFORE I PUT POSTITIVE FEEDBACK?? OR DO I HAVE TO PUT POS THEN HE CAN RETRACT like he said?? that is what has me confused...

It doesn't matter what feedback you leave or when you leave it. He will have to agree to remove the neg. He's probably asking you to post a positive first so he doesn't get negged after asking to have yours reversed. In fact, I'm not so sure he can go back and give you positive feedback after a reversal. Just my $0.02. Good Luck to you!! image

    Thats what I thought...

he is stating that he will put a FOLLOW UP to the negative stating that all is good...however I do not think he can REVERSE the NEGATIVE............

i know..does it really matter that my feedback is 99.3% instead of 100%.....when i dont really sell on ebay....

i guess its the principle....but i would feel bad now about neg'ing him just to neg him.......he was wrong to judge me quickly before his own alloted timeframe...but i didnt answer his original email a day later....

now im really torn....no way to get rid of this negative without paying ebay money...which is ridiculous if u ask me!!

  • I don't think you have to pay any money. He's already willing to ask to have the neg removed. I just don't think he can then leave a positive after it has been removed. I would not accept a follow-up. He should be willing to have it removed. If you go ahead and leave the positive, your rating is screwed and he is still in good standing. If you leave it too soon, he may not send the card. Heck, you shouldn't be leaving feedback until you receive the card anyway. You should email him this:

I appreciate your response after receiving my money. I was under the impression that you were going to wait 3 days, as you stated in your email, before posting feedback. The money was already sent and I felt reasonably sure you would receive it by the third day. I look forward to receiving the card and plan to leave positive feedback at that time. In the mean time, I would appreciate it if you would contact eBay and begin the process to have the negative feedback removed from my rating. I'm sure you understand that posting a response stating "all is well" does little to repair the damage done to my reputation. I value my 100% rating as much as you value yours. Your assistance with this matter is greatly appreciated and I look forward to doing business with you in the future!

  • Do not leave him a positive, you will still have a neg! Have him retract his neg, or leave him a neg, THEN BOTH RETRACT.

  • he is stating that he will put a FOLLOW UP to the negative stating that all is good...however I do not think he can REVERSE the NEGATIVE............

This is what I would do if I were you and be polite and professional
about it. Tell him to write a follow-up to the neg. he gave you that
$ arrived. I assume he filed a non-payment dispute (NPB alert) and
if that hasn't been closed, then he can click the mutual feedback withdrawn
as kingraider stated. If he doesn't do this, I'd neg him. There's no way in
hell I'd leave him a positive. He's sweating it out right now since you already
have yours (neg); you have nothing else to lose.
