Topps TEST

Wow-it is nice to see the love for 1960's topps test issues. How can you not fall in love for these cards! I collect Brooks Robinson cards and I realize that the 1968 3d and the 1961 Dice game is out of my leagueand will probable never come my way-(it really stinks that some guy working for topps decided brooks would be the player choosen to be the 68 3d and part of the 61 dice game set). Does anyone have a scan of the 1961 dice game of Brooks? I would love to see a scan of the 67 punchout, 68 topps disc, and 73 topps comic also. Those are the ones I am working on- Thanks for the scan of the 67 disc and the 68 3d! Take Care Scott

  • Scott,

Do you have the 1971 Topps Greatest Moment card yet? Even though I am an Orioles fan, I don't collect Robinson yet image However, I know about the 1971 Topps Greatest Moments because I am attempting to build the set (with very little sucess). If you see one available, expect to pay multiples of SMR. I don't remember what the last one went for, but I know it is considered one of the toughest cards in the set.

    Sincerely,
    Mike

I do have the 1971 Topps Greatest Moments-those cards are tough to find with nice borders and without the "diamond" cut to them. Its funny-I collected in the early seventys and never through a card away.I also picked the trash of my friends in the neighborhood card.I never saw a 1971 Greatest moments growing up-I have gotten really deep into my Brooks collection and there is so much oddball stuff that I never saw as a kid-I grew up in baltimore too.I have owned two 1971 GM so far-sold one to upgrade for the one I have now-it will show up for you-The backs are great-they use the real local newspaper logos-Baltimore sun. Take Care Scott--by the way I love to fish too...I fished the chesapeake as a kid and now live on Long Island-fishing from kennedy airport to the great Montauk Point. What is better then baseball cards and fishing??????????? beer??

I drive from Texas to Baltimore twice a year for one thing: Natty Boh.

My mom supposedly lives there too, so they tell me.
