Ramly Walter Johnson

Did anybody notice the Ramly Walter Johnson being bid up by two aggresive bidders? One of them is a zero feedback who placed about fifteen or so bids. The seller is good. Any thoughts on that? A buddy of mine was actually looking to bid on that card, but the price got out of hand, more than double the SMR already. Geez. That is one of the coolest looking pre war cards I have seen. The frame design just smacks OLD, and what a great ghostly shot of the Big Train!

I would just note that the SMR has very little useful information in terms of accurate pricing of vintage pre-war cards. It's a nice guide, and a good starting point, but I would never be surprised about any pre-war card selling for multiples of SMR, generally speaking.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

That is a good seller BUT.....

....whenever I see a zero feedback bidder bidding more than dozen times, I always imagine someone trying to shill. Who knows though? Maybe that person is new to the hobby and thinks that bidding twelve times is effective.
