First Submission results back and question from Newbie

Hi, I am new to the forum, but have enjoyed reading the postings for a while. I have a question concerning crossovers and my first submission to PCGS. I used my 4 freebies (joined gold level before they got yanked!) and sent in 4 slabbed Morgans. Here are the results-

LINE # CERT # COIN DATE DENOMINATION VARIETY COUNTRY GRADE
1 21862933 1881-CC S$1 USA DNC
2 21862934 1885-CC S$1 USA MS63 (Old NGC 63)
3 21862935 1889-CC S$1 USA DNC
4 21862936 1892-CC S$1 USA AU58

The 89-cc was in an old Green Label PCI and was graded F-12. To be honest, I thought this was a lock to cross at this grade if not F-15, and now wonder if it DNC was due to a Body Bag issue (old clean?).

My question - Will there will be an indication other than DNC when the coins are returned? Thanks for any responses in advance!

Actually, from what I understand, 2 for 4 is not that bad of a cross over rate.

I don't think you did all that bad for a first try at crossing.

Stick around here and pick up some knowledge.
Not from me, I probably wouldn't be much assistance.
Many others here can be very helpful and willing if you ask.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!
  • Thanks for the responses. Overall I'm pleased with the two that crossed, and this is all part of the learning curve.

When I get a decent camera, I'll post photos of them.

    Thanks again.

I believe there is slab prejudice submitting a coin in a competitor's slab. The people I know always crack and submit coins raw.
