Help - Difference Between PCGS and NGC Jefferson Nickel FS Designations

I am really confused, I just bought a couple of NGC Jefferson nickels and the dealers listing indicated FS, but when I received the coins the label listed 5FS. I have now seen pictures of NGC slabs with FS, 5 FS and 6FS. Can someone tell me the difference between PCGS and NGC FS designations, previously I have only had PCGS Jefferson nickels with the FS designation? Which NGC FS designation, if any is equivalent to a PCGS FS designation?
Thanks,
Charlie

PCGS only requires 5 full steps for the FS designation.

Then there's the fanatical step guys who describe steps in terms like 5-3-5-4.
How come nobody ever counts steps on Memorial cents?

If it has five full steps it will.

As with anyting I think it is coin dependant, but in general a FS 5 or 6 should cross to PCGS as a FS coin. there are probably some just missed 6 step designation coins floating around in NGC holders but I bet they are either low grade or common. Coins that come readily with 6 steps but only have 5 were probably sent to PCGS to being with.
