Is this type of disclaimer really necessary...

Just don't sell/buy the cards if you don't want to. I mean really, what purpose does this serve? Hillbillyben is out of line IMO. Maybe it's me but this doesn't seem like good business to me. I won't be givin' them any of my money anytime soon!

You are right it is crazy to put such a disclaimer... but again I go back to what I said above. Discrediting PSA is a good way of selling fake stuff. Sad and pathetic. Plus, I didn't know PSA had a "judgement for $600k". I thought it was a settlement? BIG difference! I wonder if PSA may contact him about his disclaimer!?!?

Edited to add: I checked some of their completed auctions and it seems they've been using it for some time.

sounds like he is talking himself up!
<< <i>The ball is absolutely authentic. It comes with two certificates of authenticity. The first comes from Chris Morales, a court-certified forensic document examiner. >>
Although I don't care for the conclusion this guy has come to with regards to PSA, I will say that Chris Morales is a well know authenticator and is used by some auction houses like Coach's Corner. Having said that, these authenticator types seem to be butting heads a lot over who is good and who is not.

You can visit the Civil Business Office, 2nd Floor in the Hall of Justice in San Diego and tell them you would like to see the available trial minutes from 01/07 to 01/27/05. Make sure you reference trial #GIC815119. You can have them copied for .50 cents per page. From what I understand these give you an overview of what occurred in court on that date.
I'm trying to contact the court reporter for the case and see if I can get copies of the transcripts on the days that testimony was taken but she is in court right now. I'll provide more info after I talk to her.
One thing that I did find out is that the case has been settled not lost as described in the linked eBay auction.
<< <i>They say the ball is authentic, but what about the signature. An authentic single signed Clemente Ball is worth a few thousand. What can I get for $404? >>
Good question
Many people probably have never heard of Morales since he is not connected with GAI or PSA e.g. To add to the problem is the fact that the auto is smudged and not signed on the sweet spot.

Just like the other day on Ebay I saw a seller selling a 2003 Dale Earnhardt Sr. signed regular issue card. It has been pulled by Ebay.

<< <i>Not that anyone is interested but I talked to the court reporter this afternoon and she advised it would cost $3,000 for the complete trial transcipt Maybe that is why no one has a copy yet! >>
I'm actually surprised it's that low. Court reporters make money on the transcripts they produce, even if they work for the government full-time. In general, they charge $2.50 - $7.50 per page for a transcript. All the transcripts for a trial could easily run well over $3,000.
