(OT) Psst! Hey Labmom! Lookie what we got!

Meet the latest addition to our menagerie. image



This is "Max", who joined us the day before yesterday. He's about 8 weeks old. We now have two dogs and two cats to go with the three humans.

We're all adjusting to having a baby in the house again. He piddled on the bed right after I took that picture. image

Also, he's not learned about staying away from human feet, and is really bad about tripping me up! image

But eventually Max will be our yard dog when he grows up a little. We have a little over an acre fenced in our new location, so he'll have plenty of room to run in the backyard.

With the sad passing of Big Kitty last summer, Penny The World-famous Jumping Cat has become Senior Pet. Bailey the Dog has been with us since 2000. Just after Christmas we got Maisy, a year old grey kitty, and now Max rounds out the list.

I think that'll about do it for me, since we live in a small mobile home. (Thank goodness for the big new yard! We were in a trailer park before, with almost no yard at all!)

I dunno, though... I've been thinkin' I need some more fish... image

    Here is our new members Cailín and Conor. The female Cailín is a Shepard/Retriver mix and the Male Conor (The darker one) is a Shepard/Lab mix. We adopted these two guys from retriver Rescue. Cailín was found in a wood pile and Conor's litter was thrown from a car. He is the only one to survive and he has a broken leg which we have treated. Both dogs were rescued in Virginia and broght to us in New Hampshire. Both are 12 weeks old and have been with us a week now!!!

    All Lab puppies are a big handful, regardless of their color. They can also be destructive if not supervised. I would highly recommend crate training.

    Owner of Stubby ... The Great Dane (I'll get a picture posted eventually) 175lbs and 44 inches at the shoulder, born without a tail (hence the name). He likes TV, turns on and off the lights and thinks he is "people" (actually he is alot nicer than some I've met), and likes to snuggle on the couch or in bed.

    She's my favorite. (Sssh!) image

    She filled out quite a bit after gettin' "fixed".

    She was still a skinny young thing when the famous light switch picture was taken.

    (I love all the critter crowd, but Penny is "my" cat. Maisy, the newer cat, is showing some promise- like Penny, she's got a ton of personality.)
