Opinion on 1965 Topps Football set. Help

I curently have the #9 1965 Topps Football set with a GPA of 7.38 and is 52% complete, I just bought 6 other PSA 8's on ebay and havent put them in my set yet, So I have a GPA of about 7.45. I made 45% of this set from having a raw set that I bought this year for about 200.00 or so. My question is this. I have about 20 cards in raw form that will grade PSA 8's OC. Should I have them graded?? Or are they just not worth it? I currently have 11 PSA 8 OC's in my set and 1 PSA 9 OC. Do yall think its worth 8.00 to have these graded? Or should I just spend 15-50 for PSA 7's or 35-150 on PSA 8's? What is a good GPA for this set. My intentions are to complete this set and then sell it in complete form. these 20 raw cards would bring my set up 11%.

  • If your intention is, as you say, to sell the set in complete form, then I suggest buying the 7's and 8's and selling the raw cards to recoup some of that cost. I know the "Tall Boys" are tough but too many qualifiers may hurt the sale of the complete set. Just my $0.02. image

I think I'd agree with Scott. If the intention is to sell , stay away from the OC's as much as possible. I've owned a bunch of the 65's and sold quite a few of them raw on ebay a couple years ago, got nice prices for the grades.......mostly pretty low to midgrade however.
