How many people submit modern proofs only expecting a pr69dcam?

What percentage of people submitting think they have a sure thing pr70 dcam? Considering that for 2004, only 1.4% to 3.3% of proofs submitted, dependent upon series looked at, graded 70dcam. There are sure a lot of losing bets on every submission of modern proofs. Once they factor everything in, a pr69dcam is a money loser, at least at first. What do you think?

You really have to take into consideration what denomination that you are talking about. Some modern proofs are just not selling for what it costs to get them graded.

When I send in Proofs, I want at least a PR69DC grade or its just not worth it. Now that economy slabs <$300 value are $14 a piece, you really have to double and triple check your coins to see if they have a shot at a PR70DC, meaning they CANNOT have a single flaw what so ever with caked on frost or you will have trouble selling them in PR69DC. you might as well forget PR68DC. Alot of the dimes in PR69DC from 77-date, you can buy shipped <$10-14.

Most of the Lincolns are very difficult in PR69DC and most on these boards have stated that its actually cheaper to BUY THEM ALREADY SLABBED, then to send them in.

I think that your $$$ makers in PR69DC are your Kennedys and Dollars.

By the way, I have made 1 PR70DC and that was a high pop 2003-W American Silver Eagle.
