If you figure out the value of your card collection and it was equal to your total debt ( house, car, CC etc) would you sell it and pay off your debt or not?
Would it be too hard to replace? or what the heck would you do with all the extra money?
this is really not a personal decision, my cards wouldn't pay for a nice hot meal and i am happy with chinese!
what would you do?

No. If the value of my collection hadn't been created from truly discretionary income (money not needed for house, car, CC, etc.), then I wouldn't be collecting. Paying off my house early has no benefit (how else can you borrow money at 4.5% tax free?) Hobby money comes from a completely different pocket. If I wanted to start coin collecting, though, then some cards would have to go.
