Will PCGS holder porus copper?

Thinking of the 1808-1814 large cents. Its like they are almost all porus. Does porosity earn a body bag? And if so, what does ANACS do about it?

I know ANACS will holder it and give it a net grade with details. Someone else will have to answer about PCGS. I've never tried but my hunch is that you'll get a bodybag.

    depends

i have seen many MANY 1808-1814 circ. large cents pcgs/ngc that where in various states of moderate patches of micro porosity to totally black medium porous coins

  • It probably depends on the sharpness grade and the amount of porousity. All I know is I have seen Classic heads in pcgs slabs and I think I could probably count the number of Classics with no porosity that I have seen on my fingers. As a rule Classics ALWAYS come with some porousity.

    Yep! They'll bag it!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!
  • Classics ALWAYS come with some porousity. not sure about that!:

  • 1907,

that coin looks porous to me.

I don't think I've ever seen a Classic without some porosity.

If someone has a picture, please post.
