Man am I ever getting sick and tired of this..

eBay auctions ending early because of people offering the seller X amount and the then the seller accepts it.

I've lost 5 auctions in the last 5 days because of this. These items are super rare and come up on eBay maybe three or four times a year.

I asked a seller with one of the items what happened? She tells me "My husband decided to keep it." I then ask the lone bidder of the auction if he bought it off of her outright. He replies saying "Yep, I bought the item from her." imageimageimageimageimage

So what's a guy to do? Be a pr!*k as well and do what they do?

I'd report them to ebay for bypassing their auction process.

Basically what they are doing is a detriment to the whole community, and it means the seller doesn't have to pay ebay fees. Ebay will very interested in that. Hope you kept the email of the buyer saying he bought it.

he must of made the offer before the 12 hour deadline to end sales im guessing? with ebay fees i dont blame sellers to do this and with all the snipping that goes on it isnt fair to a seller. i think ebay should add a 2minute timer when a bid is placed with under 1 minute to go.

    yahoo does that i think.

This is why eBay is starting the "Best Offer" deal. I think it is so you can make the big offer to buy outright via eBay and they can get their cut off the closing price.
  • I would report them that is fee circumvention and is suspendable.
