My favorite coin... usually

My favorite coins change as I add to my certified typeset, but this one always seems to come out on top. This was one of my first purchases when I started collecting about 7 years ago. I love Barbers anyway, and as many tone they seem to get the most beautiful cameo affect.

I'm still working on my photography, but I thought these came out pretty good and wanted to share.

Care to guess the grade?

Sorry Vega, It's a Colonial coin name not really known by modern collectors!!!!!!!!

Nice coin, and a tough date at that. I would also go with XF-40.

Good guesses. Its in an ANACS EF-45 holder.

From the photos I see here I would think you'ld want to switch your hobby from coins to photography. If I could take pictures that good I'd probably be a photographer. Was that done with a digital camera?

Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it. Yes, I took these with a digital camera. I have been trying to photo-catalogued my entire type set, and many/most of the pictures did not come out as good as these did. Its really hit and miss, but I'm working on it.
