completed liberty nickel set

Yesterday I completed my liberty nickel set, the last one 1912s . I have a couple of questions. With only 238 thousand way is it of less value than the 1885 at 1.5 million or the 1866 with 3.3 million? The 1912s that I picked up yesterday has a planchet flaw on the obv are these common ?

Last year of issue (actually last week of issue as they were all minted in the last week of December 1912), many more saved than the 85/86. The 1912-D is a fairly low mintage, but cheap in all but the finest grades.

  • Thanks for the link. I looked there couldn't find out anything about a bad planchet.

Actually if my experience with V-nickels is normal, then planchet flaws are common, I've seen quite a few for the number of coins I've had.
