Did I throw money away!? need token info..

Maybe one of you token experts can help clear my confusion......

Awhile back I purchased a token that reads WHITE HOUSE HOTEL HULME on one side, and pictures a couple of Kentucky? style long rifles on the other side. This token was listed in Rulau's token book third edition as Z46K, Bangs 1757, and under the pricing section was listed as very rare.

Now, when I look at the Rulau's new 4th edition, the token is no longer listed at all. Now a different token is listed as Z46K..... an E. L. HOWARD token.

So.... does this mean the token is no longer considered a token? Or is it a fantasy? Or was it mistakenly omitted from the 4th edition? Or no longer considered an American token? Any info would be appreciated....

tincup I have the third edition and see your token listed on page 331. It is not listed in any metal or planchet size and there is no photo or any date of manufacture listed.

Bangs was a coin dealer in the 1860's and I am guessing that the Bangs 1757 could possibly make reference to some sort of earlier attribution number?

Possibly due to the fact this token seldom appears on the market and is so little is known about it that it was omitted? (I'm only guessing)

I definately would suggest you contact Russell Rulau tell him you own this token and see what he says.
You might be sitting on a gold mine and maybe you will see your token listed in his book in the future.

It seems odd that the token just disappeared. I noticed some other tokens in the 4th edition that were listed as suspect origins, etc. But they remained listed, and just identified as such. And, it seems especially odd, that another token was assigned the Rulau number. Hopefully, will get an answer.....
