I've decided on a Lincoln-Illinois Commem to fill my set of 4.

I think I've finally made a decision. I'm going to try to fill out my set of 4 Dansco commems with an Illinois rather than the Oregon Trail. There are balanced sub-themes this fourth coin completes. I have a Columbian Expo, Stone Mountain, and Pilgrim.
1.What do the 4 obverses have in common if I choose this one over the Oregon?
2.The reverses have a split-pair theme, what is it?

Can the Illinois coins come nicely toned?

Instead of choosing the Lincoln-Illinois over the Oregon, I'd also select an Oregon and replace your Columbian with the Lincoln. It would make for a much more attractive display.

obverse:4 historic figures:Columbus, Lincoln, Gov. Bradford, Lee-Jackson, 2 face left, 2 face right, 1 looking straight!
reverse: 2 eagles 2 ships!
