69 OPC first series??

Okay, what gives with the 69 OPC series 1. Dan (tripoli) informed me of the 2nd series DP's but this can't be the only difference. Were the first series all cut poorly? Were there quality control issues? Did they dumped all the stock in the ocean? Pop report shows very few series 1 8's & 9's compared to series 2.

Any info would help. Dan share the knowledge.

I don't know much, Bob, but I think first series '69-70 cards typically do show a rough cut. I don't know if they were simply produced in smaller quantities than the subsequent series from that year or what, but the first series cards are harder to come by and do command a premium relative to the later releases.
