Hey Noob, What Have You Learned?

I've learned some cool stuff from this forum and wonder if any others besides myself would like to share what they've learned here.
A while back I submitted some photos here of 1981-S proof pennies that I thought were type-2. They were type-1. It seems I had been accidently given the wrong coins after winning an eBay auction. I got lots of feedback here about what a real type-2 looks like. So, I went looking for the real thing locally and found it in several of the different type coins. But in searching for them, I ran into a couple dealers around here who would sell their mothers a type-1 labeled type-2 if they could turn a buck! So not only did I find out what a type-2 looks like from this forum, I found out who is honest and who isn't in my neighborhood partly because of what I learned here. I got a good deal on a type 2 set recently for half price. Also know which dealers to get quality coins from locally, because some of them clean their coins with abrasive cleaning methods. I learned here about the best ways not to scratch my coins all up too. I learned about some books that I could use to gain general knowledge from. I bought Coppercoins book about Cents and loved it. I had a small penny collection when I was a kid and I use to help Dad go through rolls back then. I love my Dansco Lincoln Cent collection that I have now and pennies will always hold a special spot in my heart. I'm learning about new types all the time. I recently bought the VAM book about Morgans and Peace dollars. Bought The Cherrypicker's Guide. But after learning a little something about all kinds of coins, I've learned which ones turn me on most. I'd have to say that I most enjoy collecting Franklin & Kennedy Half Dollars, in particular Kennedy halves. That's 41 years of JFK's. It's not boring, because it's not easy. But I learn something new about them all the time right here on the forum.
