Grades in from PCGS

I submitted a 1878 CC Mogan dollar and yesterday looked up to see my submission status. The coin listed on the submission was a 1878 S Morgan Dollar and not the 1878 CC Morgan I submitted. Has this happened before to anyone? They gave me a certification number which I look up in their database and it came up with the 1878 S not the 1878 CC morgan I submitted. Are the grades on the submission status page accurate or just preliminary and can change. I guess I will have to call customer service on Monday. I am new at the grading process at PCGS. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

This is uncommon . . . they do have "mechanical" errors from time to time though.

Customer service is the way to go . . . . but if they ship the coin out and you receive it, sometimes the "mechanical" error is cool . . . I always think twice before I return for reholdering. Some of the coolest coins I own are those types of holder errors. . .

Thanks for your input. I guess it is uncommon. Dont they verify the coins against the submission invoice I sent in at the start. I hope it doesnt have a 1878 S in the holder instead of the 1878 CC I sent in.
