I just got my SMR - WHAT is that Purple Felt thing in it?

It is some kind of funky suede case that has the Memory Lane logo on it, but I do not know what it is? Any one know? I am glad we are getting freebies (calendar and now this) but what is it?

    I'm not sure either,
Perhaps it is to be used as a temporary holder for cards purchased at shows ??

Are you guys serious? I hope not. It's a felt holder to store a PSA card in.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
  • Actually I like it alot better than the PSA pouches since you can see the PSA label thru it. I do keep my more
expensive PSA cards in pouches. A few freebies will surely get them some sales. I'll be glad to take if you guys
    don't want them.

Okay, I'll admit I'm a dummy, did think it was probably for cards though.

Just placed my recently purchased 1979 Tommy John Gem Mint 10 ( more proof of my mental capacity ) in it. Looks pretty good.

You can see the label through the PSA ones as well.

Those pouches can be purchased from PSA for I think 5.00

I must be behind or something as the feb issue just came to me 2 days ago.

Fast forward to the present...........lol I see the pouch now in my Mar. edition that came 2 days ago and it is not of the quality of those for sale by Psa....so nevermind me!
    Good for you.
  • It's obviously for chewing tobacco.
  • It's a man-purse.
  • I got one with the submission I just received from PSA. Apparently Memory Lane is on an advertising blitz.

yeah, your mail man is reading them first. March arrived here today. and the pouch is nice, but not something I would spend any money on for all my cards. I like to see them.

  • It seems like a nice promo piece, but a jet black pouch would be more attractive.

Perhaps a black pouch with no writing on it, and attached to that a note (compliments of Memory Lane - #1 Buyers).

Speaking of promo pieces, has anyone gotten the new PSA bag?

I'll take a pouch instead image

PSA uses those Memory Lane pouches for packing filler when they send back your submissions. I had 5 of the things crumpled into my box, along with the paper advertisements. If I wanted to use a felt slab holder, I wouldn't want a dealer's ad on it. But if you like 'em, enjoy. Heck, they're free. Beats foam peanuts for filler.
  • I only received the Memory Lane pouch with my last 2 orders. 1 per order.
Haven't used it. Don't mind the freebies....keep 'em coming.
  • Cardkid, I got the PSA bag and it's pretty nice actually. Better than the pouches. Red, white, and blue.

PSA doesn't sell the Memory Lane advertising one as they are promos.
The last time I bought PSA velvet pouches, they were $2.00 each...jay

    GBravesGo and everyone else,

    1. I tested your link and if you click on this link and log in, it will tell you that you have no subscriptions. What you need to do is go to the pop area, log in and then click on the view your status link.

    2. This link is only for online submission status only. It has nothing to do with the printed version. If you need to check the status of the printed SMR, please contact customer service.

    Thanks,

    Carol

  • Memory Lane is really trying to put their name out there. I received a packet from them in the mail about a month ago that had a nice business card holder with their logo and inside they had put in about 10 or 12 business cards of several dealers in the industry. It's pretty handy and was a nice gesture from them.
