The PSA card was scanned at a higher dpi which probably accounts for the color being more vivid.
Also, whenever I see a straight GAI 9, as opposed to a GAI 9.5, I think it must be a low end 9 or it would have gotten the half point bump up to a 9.5 ...
Neither one has great centering, but for some reason the GAI 9 centering is visually less appealing. Also, I can't tell by the scan, but it looks like the bottom 2 corners (in red) are showing some white on the GAI 9. If that's true, then there is no way that card crosses to a PSA 9.
The PSA 9 looks a smidge sharper to me. If you're thinking of crossing, this is one of those rare cases where I'd leave the card in the GAI holder. That way, they might give the dreaded M/G and refuse to cross, but you don't end up with an 8. I know ... buy the card, not the holder. But if you care at all about cash value, better GAI 9 than PSA 8. Those 1975 PSA 8's have lost value with all the 9's that came into the market.
