    I was at the first game in the 1980 World Series, Phillies vs Royals, when McBride hit that 3 run homer at the Vet. I was sitting on the 3rd base side, second row, between home plate and the dugout, and had a perfect view of McBride, as you know a lefthanded hitter, absolutely crushing a down the middle fast ball into the right center field stands. What a beautiful home run that was!
