ID help on Honus Wagner card

When my father-in-law said he wanted to know the value of a Honus Wagner card he had my heart jumped but then descended after I saw it.image

Would you folks here be kind enough to give me some information on the card and any potential value. My guess is the card is from the late 30's or early 40's; it identifies 1936 as his hall of fame induction date so it's post that... It's number 32 in a series-no info on the card with a printers or companies name on it.

Thanking you ahead of time...image

  • I know nothing about baseball cards really, but according to Beckett's Wagner checklist, the only #32 Wagner card is the "1961 Golden Press #32" card.

Do any Baseball guys know if that could be right?

  • That is indeed a 1961 Golden Press card, valued at about $6.00 in NM condition.

That's exactly what it is, a 61 Golden Press (a 33 card set) It's a HOF set and in that condition, probably worth about $1.
