I find it odd that no mention of the net grade for corrosion was made in your "Major Rip" thread. Might have changed some people's outlook on the actions of the dealer.

No. It's a great coin and according to my research well worth the money.

I just don't see how the dealer was supposed to know that fact [without similar research] and how he deserved the thread he got.

I believe (but could be wrong) but Barry clearly stated in that thread that it was a dealer that specializes in Seated Material.

I specialize in Seated Dollars and am very up on pricing. Yet, I have absolutely no idea how to price an ANACS AU50 Net Grade XF40 corroded 1873-CC Seated Dollar. I'd have to do some research first.

Out of deference to Barry, I'll limit any further discussion to the other thread. Great coin!
