The US Mint confuses me on their shipment policy

I recently bought 4 items off the US mint website (I know, modern crap, I'll probably lose money on, but I enjoy some of the new stuff)
So I pay the regular shipment fees (something like $4.95 for the entire order)
The mint ships out 2 items on Feb 3, one item on Feb 4 and one item now shows "in stock and reserved" so I assume it will ship on Monday.
Now, of course I would just as soon get each item as soon as possible, but it seems to me that they paid (or will end up paying) 3 shipping charges when it all could have been shipped out as a single load when all items were ready.
I suppose if there was reason to believe that one or more items would be back ordered for more than a week, I can understand doing a partial shippment, but when they ship partials, one day apart, it seems to be wasteful.
Okay, rant for the day has ended.

I dont get mine next day, the subscription orders usually end up in a third parties warehouse for 2 or 3 days and then its another 3-4 days for the package to arrive. I really dont understand how they ship coins.

The Mint, a governmental organization, mailed my package (1) on 1/26. It got to OK Hub on 1/29 - and according to the tracking on USPS website - it's STILL in OK.
Then they mailed the 2nd package on 2/1 and it is also at OK Hub.
Neither package has been delivered. This is not the norm - I generally get things from the pretty quick - so suspect there's a problem.
I told my postal dude about it, and he is really unconcerned - and said maybe it got 'diverted'. He said he would check on it, but that the info I got is the same info he would get. Diverted? What's that all about - they have no clue: NEITHER one of the two governmental organizations. What's that tell you? It tells me I'm scared for our grandchildren.
For your $4.95 the Mint will ship as many packages as needed to fill your order. Remember it is a governmental agency so waste is not an issue.
But they get to choose how the ship - it may be USPS Priority or Parcel Post, or even FedEx and UPS.

Fedex? I have never seen them ship via Fedex before. ?????
