Ozzie was a nice man and a very good player I didnt know he was coaching the White Sox. When I think of the White Sox I think Of HArold Baines and Ozzie Guillen two very good players. And Nice pick up. I just starting getting into plates My Boggs plate arrived yesterday after waiting 3 weeks.
Last year Harold was Ozzie's bench coach! I can't wait to get my plate. You are right it doesn't appear to be in perfect shape (i'm hoping its a bad picture) but since it is a 1/1 I can't wait around for a nicer one. I am working on obtaining every Ozzie card from 1983 to now. I have almost every card from 1983 to 1990 but all the parallels make it tough. I can't imagine what a challenge it must be to try and collect all the cards of a hall of famer like Boggs!

Wow Harold was Ozzies Bench coach, I need to pay attention more. I might drive to Tucson just to see those 2 guys. The plates were heavily used and they will have surface wear ...slight marks on them. The plates are cool to collect. I would like to have all 4 colors. The would be so hard and very pricey. Here is mine. Sorry I had to show it I am in love !!!
Thanks for the info. Harold is no longer on the staff he left after the season. It may still be worth your drive to Tucson since Tim Raines is now on Ozzie's coaching staff.

As a White Sox fan, I think it's great to see the organization tap into its roots for managers and coaches.
Not only is Ozzie the manager, Harold the bench coach, but Joey Cora is the third base coach and Tim Raines is onboard this year as their first base coach. Gotta love it!
I have great memories of Harold Baines hitting walk-off homeruns, the fans chanting "Haaaaa-rold, Haaaaa-rold" while walking down the ramps leaving a game. Good stuff!
Edit: Are you sure Harold left? He's still listed on the website as the team's bench coach:
Tim Raines and Cora are there , I am going for sure! Too bad about Harold. I usualy go see the Cubs and Giants I thought I would see a new team also this year. I loved going to OLD Comiskey. THe new park makes me dizzy in the UD. I wont go unless I have good seats.
hopefully I am wrong and Harold is still there! I thought after he said the job was not "his cup of tea" that he was seeking a different position within the organization.
