Just bagged on eBay for a song (I have an image to maintain here, a 2-second snipe, to boot) ... seller's images. I, obviously, think it NT ... anyone differ? I can take it ...
Coin in hand pix shot tonight ... (forgive quality, but give you a good sense of toning transitions, etc.) Any more opinions? (seller pix show color well)

<< <i>OK ... now for the most disturbing part. Only the second I ever have bought ... may you all have mercy on my soul (and remember, buy the coin, not the holder) >>
I was the underbidder on that one.
If you'de like to own the Franklin with the same color/grade (and... same holder), PM me as I bought it last week from that Seller.

The second one you can keep...and I like nearly all toners...it just looks weird. Maybe If I could see it in person.
Check my ebay BIN or Make Offers!!
funny how as soon as the ACG holder was identified the AT opinion gained numbers. that's what i call bias.

<< <i>you guys need to wake up and smell the coffee, there is only one coin, not two. what you're referring to as "the second coin" is the original one Randy pictured, only showing it now in the ACG holder.

Al, you are right that there is only 1 coin that is shown in different photos, but in your haste to show "others" have a bias, you have jumped to conclusions again.
I initially thought there were 2 coins shown AND thought the ACG one was blatant AT.....NOT because it was in an ACG holder but because of how it looks straight on.
The first pic that Randy shows is slanted at an angle, and shown in a different light. It is very debatable for me whether it is AT/NT. Coin in hand would be needed.
Now, with the pic in the 2nd shot, I would hit AT right away and run away. Reason is because of the look straight on and looks like Washington's head was spared the torch but the rest wasn't.
That is the look. Not because of some "slab bias". But, that is the simple answer so I can understand someone jumping to that conclusion I guess.
Sometimes in your bid to be contrarian or show up others, you really do jump to conclusions.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
