Would someone please tell me the value of this 1875-A French 5 francs?

    Purty wide picture, there!

    It's dark but decent. I have a 19th century Krause out in the car. (I'm at work right now). If somebody doesn't price it for you by the end of the night, I probably can. But somebody will.

    Same here,it was from an old-time collection.Explains the price of 12c.

    No way would that've ever been priced at 12 cents- even in 1875! Even "back in the day", the silver content was worth way more than that!

    Are you talkin' about the part that's crossed out? That looks like it says "10c"- like somebody reused an old envelope that used to hold a 10-centime (or 10-cent) coin.

    I've got two holey 5-franc pieces on my vest. One is an 1808 with Napoleon on it, the other is an 1848 with the same design as yours.
