EBAY SCAM ALERT -- Phishing E-Mail

Today I received a Phishing e-mail from someone who is pretending to be Ebay customer service. It is the typical Phishing crap -- saying Ebay needs to "confirm my identity" or it will be shut down, asking for account info, etc. This is likely the scammer from Europe who has been hijacking Ebay accounts and stealing images.

I know the vast majority of you wont fall for this stuff, but wanted to make you aware of it. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES REPLY TO THIS OR GIVE ANY INFO TO THE LINKED WEBSITE -- JUST DELETE IT!!! Here's the text of the e-mail I received:

I get a lot of these. I just forward the message to spoof@ebay.com. Ebay always sends me a "boilerplate" response; but I don't know what EBAY is doing about this type of activity. It certainly hasn't diminished.image
