Confederate Half dollar Cast Copy question

Brother-In-Law thought he had a Rare Coin brought to him to sell until I had to burst his bubble. To be sure he sent it to ANACS for authentication. ANACS said Cast Copy.

Anyway, my question is, are the cast copies worth anything?

No, not generally. Perhaps as a novelty item to the unknowing. I would not even pay face for one. You can buy original 1861-O half dollar that was most likely made by the Confederacy for under $25.00 (in well-worn condition). You could even get lucky and get one that is KNOWN to be struck by the Confederacy.
