19th century Krause help please...

I know that the ZAR (Zuid Afrika Republik) pennys were minted in 1892, 1893, 1894 and 1898 (I have all four of these). Were they minted in any other year? I seem to remember seeing an auction for 1896, but I haven't been able to find any recently.

Any help (such as mintages, values, etc) would be greatly appreciated!!!! image

No listing for any other than the four you have (1892, 1893, 1894, 1989) except an 1892 proof (mintage of 6 pieces, value $4500) ... according to the newest (4th) edition of Krause 19th century.

However, I have coins that are not listed in this edition. Maybe Krause left some out here, too.

My very old 19th/20th century Krause (1995) indicates that there was an 1895 as well, mintage of 182,000. It looked pretty pricey even back then at $700 in UNC. I don't know why it was left out in later editions.

Ignore my last post, albeit true the coin was listed at one time in Krause, according to a site run by an expert on the coinage (here), the 1895 is fictitious. Tokencoin has posted here before, including this marvelous thread.
