Friend asking help in determining value of Canadian Sets from 1978 to now.

He gave me two as examples but I'm unsure what he really has.
What do these two sets usually go for?
The 1995 set clearly states "proof" not proof-like or a specimen set.
I cannot offer him an approx value since I don't follow Canadian stuff.
If he has from 1978, are thier any better date sets? He gave me these two to post.
One I'm sure is a Specimen set (1979). Any help or comments will be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

for many of the Canadian coins and sets. HERE'S A LINK to the online version of their Canadian coin magazine. It has some of the information from their printed issue, and also information on how to subscribe, if you'd care to.
I'm going to muddy the waters a little here.
The 1995 set is a Proof Set.
The 1979 Set is a Double Dollar Set, or what some refer to as a Prestige Set. There are 3 sets that were provided in 1979:
- the Double Dollar Set (wallet style, with the Silver Dollar)
- the Double Penny Set (wallet style, with two cents)
- the Uncirculated Set, sometimes called a Prooflike Set (pliofilm holder).
The quality of the coins in the Double Dollar Set is a higher quality than the Uncirculated Set. I haven't seen enough Double Penny Sets to make a comparison.
PCGS only recognizes two strike varieties for 1979, Prooflike (PL) and Business Strike (MS). The normal circulation coins are Business Strikes, those in the Double Dollar Sets are Prooflike. Coins from the other two sets fall somewhere in between.
