1972 Topps - Card #42

Has anyone ever heard of two different cards with the same card number? I have two TOPPS 1972 card #42's - - the first being Tommy Davis in Action and the other being Denny Riddleburger. The old price guides that I have show number 42 as Tommy Davis In Action.

Is this a common error or is there some value to this (Too bad it's Denny Riddleburger and not Mays or someone of note)?

Danny R. is #642, just a typo error
