At least somewhere they take fraud seriously

Ebay Fraud

I guess we have to go down under to find someone willing to prosecute an Ebay fraudster.

Sadly, even though he is old enough to drink beer, he doesn't.

and was ordered to reimburse the money and undergo counseling.

Reimburse the money I fully understand - but counseling for WHAT?? Being a thief??? I get sick of the courts treating every poor choice of behavior as if it's some disease - they turn the thiefs into helpless victims. This one should have been planted in jail for a few months.

    Counseling? That's sad...

Seriously though, at least they're doing something about it down under. They've visibly prosecuted an offender as an example and message to others. Jail time may be in order for fraud as Coppercoins has indicated, but I guess that depends on the degree of severity. Some of the scams going on with coins is grand larceny and should carry a stiff fine AND JAIL TIME.
