Grading at card shows

How does this work? In other words, if I give my cards to PSA or GAI at a show, do they grade them right on the spot? is there typically a long line to get this done?

Sorta....not on the spot, you leave them and if you pay for a 2 hr service you come back after 2 hrs and hopefully they are done. The best one (at a show) is the one in which you leave the cards for them say on Friday and p/u late Saturday or Sunday at the end of the show. That at least was my experience with PSA at last springs FT Wash show. As for Gai I have no idea.

Hope I have been a help.
    Good for you.

GAI will allow you to watch them grade the card on the spot if it's just one or two cards, but you also tend to have to wait in line for it as well. I see a lot of folks with really, really expensive cards opt for this because they're paranoid about the cards being switched, stolen, or whatever. For the idiots with 50 or more, these folks are encouraged to leave them.
