Hey! How do you know what year it is? While Metal Detecting I found one of these doubloons. Mines silver and says MW Heron and Southern Comfort on it.

Mardi Gras Doubloons will have the Krew (AKA Crew) Name and the date organized on the front. On the back it will have theme and the Year issued on the back. It sound like your Doubloon is a sales advisement for Southern Comfort or coin from the plantation that was on the picture on the bottle of Southern Comfort.
