Dimitri, that's really nice!! Do you think you'll ever find one in such good condition again?
.....GOD
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." -Luke 11:9
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." -Deut. 6:4-5
"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us." -Isaiah 33:22
Well ,it's the first year of issue, so yes, they do come as nice, but not very often and the price is quite attractive with the low dollar rate. I'll give it a day, to think about it.

Why fight the inevitable? We all know you're going to buy it.

Python,
I'm not sure if you're addressing spinaker or me, but this one is not as rare as they say in the description and certainly overpriced, contrarily to the 1879 piastre. A nice red BU of the same date (1949) is worth $10, nothing with George VI can be really scarce.

Syraq, I can't believe they are asking so much for some color.

No that would be too much, theirs is a VIP proof, not a BU, but still way overpriced. I believe a mini hoard of them surfaced recently. Besides this same greattoning coin was on NEN's site a few months ago for much less. I think they consigned it to gt,and judging from the asking price, they probably overpaid for it.

Spinaker, I wouldn't have seen it if it wasn't for this thread, let alone the extra push from some members.
