I was the high bidder on two 1973 topps wax packs being sold by treasureseeker52296. Some emailed me after the auction was over saying that this person opearted under a different name in the past and sent them some resealed old fb cellos (1968 i believe). I did some digging and found that he has bought wrappers and large lots of older commons in the past, giving me enough evidence to not feel safe about sending money to him. I let him know the story and he said he knew that someone was sending email to everybody that won his auctions, but offered me no comfort that his packs were the real deal. I reported this to ebay, and I would be very about dealing with him if I were you. Just a word of caution.

I have been buying wax, racks, vending etc. since 1989 and there's very few people I will trust. IMO, it's better to pay a bit more and only buy from the really reputable dealers like BBCKid, BBCExchange, major auction houses, GAI stuff (do have much much of this) e.g.
Good luck and I hope your next pack will be a winner!

When you buy a GAI pack, do you keep it sealed or open it?
In 1991, I bought three unopened packs of 1955 Bowman for $100 each. Ripped all three of them on the spot, and don't regret it for a minute.

I'm a wuss, have never opened an old pack. I haven't even opened boxes that I have had for over 10-15 years!
Even a box of 76 OPC has never been touched - in fact, I was thinking of sending it to GAI to have sealed.
It always stays in the realm of who knows what's in there?...if I don't open it. Plus, if I ever need a kidney, it's easier to dump unopened than the cards contained.

I noticed the other day that Shoebox Cards. Has added unopened graded packs to their web site. I think they also have an Ebay store.
Wayne Varner is as reputable a dealer as you will find.
