2004 Topps Originals Autos?

I have been trying to find information regarding these cards, and Topps' website, well, sucks.

I have the 1984 wade boggs, and I see this:

Boggs Auto

and I am curious as to how many of Wade Boggs cards were available this way? I think it would be a neat collection, especially if there are is a good run of his cards available.

Off hand there was an 1983 1/1 1986 1/20 a few 1984's I think 25 and 1987 /45 I think was the most commom. I dont know of hand if there was other years. I have not seen the 1983 on ebay.

Originals was a great concept until topps loaded it up with junk. They killed the idea within the first couple of days. The
HOF'er cards are still prized however. Each player had a rookie auto numbered 1/1, including Mays who a kid pulled!

If you go to the beckett baseaball forum and search old posts you may find a complete list of print runs. Boggs was one of the nicer
pulls from the 80's.

Yes, the 1984 one I have is either /20 or /25.

I'd like to get my hands on all of them (except the 1983 I am sure), be a nice run to get slabbed.

I agree they are nice. I am looking for the 1983 . Although I have a GAI 1983 Auto not graded. But It will eventualy go to PSA , it should grade a 9 possibly an 8 . Of course I am leaning towards an 9.

I havent bought any I am waiting for the price to bottom out. In about 6 months to a year. Some sets you have to wait awhile.

good luck on the 83 autoproof, but chances are it is already in a private collection. The 1/1's were very hot when they first came out, I can't
see anyone who bought it then selling it now for a profit.

I tried to get the Schmidtty 78T 20/100 but it went too high.

I am hoping it is in a pack. And it might be pulled and listed. Or a non Boggs fan pulled it and may list it after he or she is bored with it.

My GAI is one I bought of ebay.
