Testing - imaging of my 1901-s Barber quarter

I'm trying to learn how to display an image, so I'm using my 1901-s barber quarter, PCGS certified, VG-8, for the test. The yellowish tinge on the coin, is not actually on the coin, its only on the image. The company I bought the coin from, is allowing me to use their image of the coin. Hope it looks decent.

You need to crop all the extra stuff out of those pictures.

Try saving the image as a JPG instead of a GIF.

How do you crop, and how can you post the image directly on the thread, without a link?

Also, it looks like you are scanning your coins at too low of a color depth. Try increasing the color depth.

First, upload your images to a "host." I use boomspeed.com but there are others. Then you can download them to here using the "image" icon which is right next to the "http link" icon. If all goes well, your image will appear directly in your post on the thread.

The appearance of the dreaded "red x" is your clue that something has gone wrong.
