Here's the story on this coin. I bought this coin off of Harlan J. Berk's website on Dec 8, 2004. I sent it to ICG for authentication and grading. ICG returned the coin as being 'not authentic'.

I sent HJB an email telling them about the ICG opinion. So far no response.

I'll be waiting to see how this turns out, I had a problem with Berk about two years ago and they never took care of it, didn't even seem interested. I wish you better luck with them Don!

I don't wish that even on an Arsenal fan. Sorry to learn of this, Don. I hope it gets fixed pronto.

I have never seen this coin in person, but to me it looks like a cast copy, notice how soft the details look.

I would be alittle disenchanted to be politically correct if they refused to take the coin back... especially if it was bought in December. I am sorry and I hope this saga has an acceptable ending.

Received this email from Harlan J. Berk Inc. today:

    Dear Mr. Rupp,

Any Coin sold by us as authentic is guaranteed by us.
Please send back the coin that we sold to you. We will send you a complete
refund including your postage and grading fee if we made a mistake.

    Thank you,

glad this had a good ending... and I agree that paying for the grading costs was a classy thing to do as well as the postage.
