Value and availability of the Aussie Lunar Proofs

I'm speaking of the sets that are limited to 2500 and contain three coins, the 1/2oz, 1oz, and 2oz. Any idea on the value of these? Also I've seen some come up for auction on Ebay but the only ones I've seen are the '99, 2000, or 2001 sets. Anyone know of a dealer who carries these? Thanks all.
Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

I just buy the 1 oz. proofs. I either get them from Panda America or straight from the Perth Mint. As far as value not sure myself.

  • MSD61,

I didn't see the proof lunar coins on the web site that you linked, only the regular uncirculated coins, though they were at very good prices.

    Goober,

You could try pandaamerica, downies, perthmint. I have brief flashes where I think that I want to complete a set of the proof 1 oz coins. I even bought the 2003 on eBay, but I really only need the 2001 proof snake to finish (I believe) my 2001 dated 1 ounce silver world bullion set in proof and uncirculated.

The perthmint.com has the 2005 set for $211.60 available currently, along with the 2004 set for the same price. Downies.com has the 2005 set for $205.

    Good luck!
  • And pandaamerica.com has the 2003 set for $178

Thanks for the replies. I do think Ebay may be my best bet for pricing as well as availability. I don't like the inverted proofs, but the limited proofs, to me, are just killer.
