Anybody have access to an ANACS population report?

I'm trying to find out what the anacs pop is (in all grades) for a 1909-VDB DDO is, just the type one. Could someone please help?

Thanks a bunch,
David

I have one that is a year and a half old if that will help, but I am not home right now. PM me and I will get the info for you tonight, unless you get it sooner.

    More info. needed. image

    Ms? rd, rb, or bn?

They have a listing for Dbl Die Obv, DD obv die 1, and DD obv die 2

Regardless of type, you are talking about less than 200 mint state examples certified by them as a group.

Anacs does have a pop report, and it is quite useful, especially with varieties etc.

    Shamika,

They publish them I think quarterly and the cost if $15.00 or so per copy. I bought one one time just to get a handle on how many of certain coins they certified.

It would be nice if they had it online though.

Got the newest one, David, 10/04.

They list it several different ways:

    Quantity in Bold/Grade NOT Bold:

    Circulated:
    1909 VDB DD OBV (Many/most of these probably not die 1): 17 Total - 1 GH (i.e. genuine/problem/net graded), 1 12-15, 1 35, 3 40, 5 45, 3 50, 3 55
    1909 VDB DD OBV DIE 1: 43 Total - 4 GH (i.e. genuine/problem/net graded), 1 12-15, 1 35, 4 40, 11 45, 10 50, 1 53, 6 55, 5 58
    1909 VDB DD OBV FS-012: 8 Total - 1 20-25, 1 30, 1 40, 1 45, 1 50, 3 55

    Uncirculated:
1909 VDB DD OBV (Many/most of these probably not die 1):
    RD 24 Total - 4 63, 10 64, 9 65, 1 66
    RB 37 Total - 1 60, 1 61, 2 62, 9 63, 17 64, 7 65
    BN 8 Total - 4 62, 3 63, 1 65

1909 VDB DD OBV DIE 1:
    RD 28 Total - 2 62, 3 63, 13 64, 9 65, 1 67 image
    RB 46 Total - 1 60, 2 61, 9 62, 14 63, 14 64, 5 65. 1 66
    BN 27 Total - 5 60, 5 61, 8 62, 5 63, 4 64

    1909 VDB DD OBV FS-012:
    RD 0 Total
    RB 7 Total - 4 63, 3 64
    BN 2 Total - 2 63

Totals DEFINITELY Die 1: 51 Circ, 29 MS BN, 53 MS RB, 28 MS RD
161 Total (51 Circ/110 MS) - of which MANY must no longer be in ANACS holders &/or be double & triple (or more) counted due to crackout upgrade attempts - just MHO. image

Thanks guys. I've got a few of them and was trying to decide if I wanted to sink the money elsewhere or let them sit for a while.

Strike one of the 65RD's out. My daughter destroyed the cert so I can't turn it in, the coin is now in a PCGS 65RD holder.

I just might have a few ANACS cert tags of this variety floating around and "waiting to be sent in". image
