Super Bowl Prognostication Give-Away.... With a TWIST!!

OK......... Looks like nobody will be sending me any Super Bowl tix any time soon to allow me to go see my home team upset the Patsies, so it's time for the "give-away with a TWIST"!! image

Here's how it works:

Post in this thread both the TOTAL POINTS for the game, along with the final score by which the EAGLES will WIN the game!

Winner will be whomever gets the final score (in favor of the Eagles, of course) exactly right.

If no outright winner, 2nd determinant will be correct WINNING score for the Birds, and closest to correct total points.

If no correct WINNING score for the Birds, then total points will be 3rd determinant, with closest to Eagles' actual WINNING point total being the tie-breaker.

I guess you've figured out the "twist" by now........... The giveaway winner is only going to be selected among those who pick the Eagles to WIN !

If the Eagles LOSE, I will be hearbroken, and in NO MOOD to give away anything - - I will already have given up my will to live!!imageimageimage

So don't even bother posting any Pats winning score - - you don't have a chance in my "twisted" give-away!! (How's THAT for the power of positive thinking?!)

Prize will be one of those new "colorized" commemorative Veterans Canadian 25cent pieces available only in circulation thru Tim Horton's up in Canada! (after the vets got one apiece first).

But the prize is also seeing the BIRDS finally win a SUPER BOWL, and keeping New nglanders from getting too big for their britches - - after all, their Beantown baseballers already made my Yankees choke in the ALCS!! imageimageimage

    The final score will be Eagles 47 Pats 2. On the final play of the game, the Birds will line up on the Pats 1 yard line, Detmer will throw a lateral to T.O, who will race 99 yards for an in-your-face-safety. image

    Lets see. I live in New England. I'm a Giants fan thus hate all other NFC East teams. So I don't qualify on these points alone.

    Patriots suck. I for one would have rather had any other team win but that said im partial to the colts but we all know what happened to them they got spanked. At the least the Eagles scored points and they actually lead the first team to do that all year. Yes I know thats a small bright side when you lose the big one.

    Shame is, the city of Phila. will add yet another "loss" to the chip on our shoulders, instead of appreciating how far the Eagles went this year - - that's the fate of the Super Bowl "loser" and the city of Philly in general.

    Will be a "bummer" of a Monday!

    So now what? Do I carry-over this contest till next year, or hold some sort of consolation giveaway?

    Nah, Lennon and Harrison had all the talent.

    Lennon had a lot of talent. Harrison - a good guitarist. I did see his Dark Horse (as well as the Beatles in '65, and Wings) concert, and enjoyed it (all of them). It's a shame they are gone. But McCartney does have talent as well. He holds his own and sounds and looks great for a man of his age. I will go see him again if he comes around my area, and I quit doing concerts a long time ago. Live and Let Die is awesome in person.

    Ajaan:

    Eagles still have quite a way to go to match the 4 straight Super Bowl appearances & losses by the Bills, but, yes, I can surely appreciate the amazing talent it took to accomplish that! Would be extremely hard to duplicate 4 appearances in a row alone these days with free agency, etc.
